This weeklong overnight camp is for those keen to master their time spent in the wilderness. Based out of UBC’s beautiful Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre, this applied-learning program includes a 20hr certificate in Wilderness First Aid with CPR-C and AED, a waterfront paddling certification, and a sharp focus on wilderness survival. Survival skills include shelter making, navigating with maps and compasses, outdoor cooking, identifying local wildlife and plants, and canoeing. Additionally, this camp will be intertwined with fun games, team-building activities, yoga, and guided moments of self-reflection. The week will finish with an epic forest trek, where participants will campout amongst the trees, cook their own meals, while surrounded by a tranquil lake. Fueled by healthy and delicious creations by the acclaimed Loon Lake culinary team, this teen-camp creates passionate and confident leaders in nature.
We are proud to partner with Ridge Wilderness for Wilderness First Aid, Basic Canoe Skills Certifications, and our overnight forest trek.
Please note: THIS CAMP IS CANCELLED.
