Targeted at sports with an endurance component such as running, rowing, biking and swimming, this program will help youth to understand which muscle groups their sport relies on the most, and how to strengthen these and supporting groups in order to improve their sport performance and avoid injury. This introductory program will prepare participants to feel confident in adding strength and conditioning components into their regular sport training and make better use of time spent at the gym. Strength and conditioning instructors will also be available to help in the creation of personalized training plans for athletes ready to step out and continue this work on their own. With the inclusion of multiple sports, this program is also a useful way to meet other similar aged athletes, and get a sense of the type of training other sports are utilizing.
